My husband David Lathroum and I were married at the Imperia in Somerset, NJ on April 16, 2011.

We met at Salisbury University at his fraternity's formal. I had gone as just a friend with one of David's fraternities brothers and spotted him dancing with a tie on his head (like Rambo) and knew I had to meet him. We both had the idea to do something special for our wedding that made it "ours" but I didn't want to be over the top either.

I also hoped it would land us on the Today Show but we were eclipsed by Prince William and Kate who were married two weeks after us and overtook the news. Anyway, we tossed around a few ideas and because Dirty Bit had the solos, we thought it would work as an entrance.

Wow, what a crazy wedding entrance dance this is, each bridesmaid and groomsman had their own theme music, props, signs, and a smoke machine was used. The Groomsmen wore sneakers with their tuxedos and some of the bridesmaids had boots on. The couple Aaron and Teri sure broke the mold with this wedding entrance. The wedding date was March 28, 2009.

Jill Peterson and Kevin Heinz interviewed on Today Show about their wedding entrance dance. The dance was incredibly inventive, energetic, fun, and most of all unexpected. The idea was Jill's, then Kevin and everyone else decided to go along with it. Jill danced growing up and also danced in college. They only rehearsed the dance once for just over an hour the Thursday before the wedding.
